There is one feature that is missing. I have my own internet domain name that I use with my personal mail. If Apple could allow dot mac users to use their own domain names, allowing for custom email addresses, it would be an awesome system.

Same here! With all the newly announced features I would get .mac should email with personal domains also be possible.
